The insured must immediately notify the Company in the event of accident, injury, illness, disease, or death of an insured horse.
In case of an animal emergency, please contact your veterinarian as soon as possible. Then notify your agent or carrier immediately — both should be available to you 24 hours a day.
Please refer to your insurance policy and contact the appropriate claims adjusting company. Keep these important reminders in mind when filing a claim.
Non-Routine Veterinary Care
Contact the claims department for guidance before proceeding with non-routine veterinary treatment.
Surgery or Euthanasia
Prior approval from the claims department is required before authorizing surgery or euthanasia.
Death Claims
A necropsy, conducted at your expense, is mandatory for all death claims.
Submission Timeline
Submit all veterinary forms and invoices promptly — no later than 60 days from the date of the claim.
